i was sitting thinking to do what can i do with some of the old domains i have, i have loads of domainsthat i forgot about or just couldnt be bothered to put effort in any more.

So what do i do? depending on whether its an adult domain or not i will just dump in a load of links to free porn for adult sites, if its a mainstream domain i will usually gather sub domains and get onto comission junction and start to create subdomains running wordpress round the affiates on there. There is two more options, i usually will use a domain to host some of my landing pages for my google adwords campaigns. The final option is sell it off, i will never ever just let a domain expire. for the $8 to renew it, i more than likely garaunteed to have a few links to pages on the domain, even if you do have links and wiped the content from the site i'm sure you can redirect the 404 traffic to some sort of gambling site or pop under website. 

An example of the stuff i promote is just like this hub, there are many domain providers on commission junction and even more places to host domains, of course i will be running adsense over the wordpress sub domain.

These are two examples of a domain i had- zx-media.com i dont actually know why i registered, because i have absolutely no use for it, i think it was because i just wanted to have a professional looking email address instead of just one with my name on domain that was using a keyword targetted .com. No matter what your domain is you can always find a host who will give you a few databases and unlimted subdomains which will allow you to target any amount of key terms in your subdomains and titles with wordpress.

I have also sold ssome of my sub domains over the years, i hang round on several webmaster forums who share some of the same interests as i do and when i register a targetted domain there will always be someone else who is willing to purchase it off me, usually for between $10 - $50. I never sell a domain for less than i paid for it.
